Certain disclosures described in this section, particularly those involving advertising, analytics, and social-media partners, may also be subject to the additional disclosures in the “Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising” section below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, log files, and similar technologies to collect information about your device, browser, and interactions with the Services. These technologies may be used to operate the Services, remember preferences, analyze traffic and engagement, detect fraud, measure campaign performance, and support advertising and marketing activities.

You may be able to control some cookie and tracking preferences through your browser settings, device settings, our cookie banner or consent manager (if available), or by using legally recognized opt-out preference signals as described below.

For more information and ways to opt out, see https://www.allaboutcookies.org/, and learn how to disable the tools by opting-out of third-party cookies and mobile device ID practices.

Sales, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Vedder Holsters does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, like many online businesses, we may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and advertising technologies that disclose certain identifiers, device information, internet or network activity, commercial information, and similar data to advertising, analytics, and social-media partners. Under some privacy laws, those practices may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use of personal information for targeted advertising.

The categories of personal information that may be disclosed for these purposes include identifiers, internet or network activity, commercial information, general geolocation data, and inferences. The categories of third parties that may receive such information include analytics providers, advertising networks, social-media platforms, data analytics providers, and similar marketing or technology partners.

You may opt out of these practices where required by applicable law by using available privacy controls, including our Your Privacy Choices link, recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, or other methods described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Security and U.S. Processing

Vedder Holsters uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of the information and the context in which it is processed. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account or personal information has been compromised.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and provide any notices required by applicable law.

Our Services are designed primarily for users in the United States, and personal information may be stored, processed, and maintained in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. By using the Services, you understand that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer or shorter retention period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, the context in which it was collected, the Services provided, legal and operational requirements, and our need to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the Services.

In general, we retain categories of personal information as follows:

Category Examples
Transaction and order records For the duration of the customer relationship and thereafter as reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, warranty, return, and legal compliance purposes.

We may also deidentify, aggregate, or anonymize information and retain and use that information in a form that does not reasonably identify you, where permitted by applicable law.

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information;
  • Provide access to specific pieces or categories of personal information;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete certain personal information;
  • Provide a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • Opt you out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities, where applicable;
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable; and
  • Appeal our decision on your request, where such appeal rights are available under applicable law.

To submit a privacy request, please visit our Your Privacy Choices page or contact us using the methods listed below. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request and may deny a request as permitted by applicable law, including where we cannot verify your identity or where an exemption applies.

We generally respond to verified privacy requests within the time required by applicable law subject to any lawful extension.

If you are permitted to use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may require proof of the agent’s authority and may still require you to verify your identity directly with us.

State Privacy Disclosures

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable law, including rights related to access, correction, deletion, portability, opting out of targeted advertising, opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and appealing certain privacy-rights decisions. The exact scope of these rights depends on your state of residence and applicable law.

California. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of certain personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. California residents may also have rights under California “Shine the Light” law and, if under 18 and registered users of the Services, rights to request removal of certain content they have publicly posted. We do not use automated decision-making technology to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning consumers in areas such as employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or healthcare.

Other States. Residents of states with applicable consumer privacy laws, such as Texas and other states that provide comparable rights, may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain portability of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions. Where required by applicable law, if we deny your privacy request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or contacting us using the methods listed below, and we will process the appeal in accordance with applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner not permitted by law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. We also do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals under 16. We have no such information to use or to disclose to third parties or to otherwise report, including under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you believe a child or minor has provided personal information to us in violation of this section, please contact us using the information below.

Sensitive Personal Information

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you except as permitted by applicable law or with any consent required by applicable law. To the extent we collect sensitive personal information, we use it only for limited and appropriate purposes, such as providing requested goods or services, processing transactions, verifying information, detecting or preventing security incidents or unlawful activity, maintaining the quality and safety of the Services, complying with legal obligations, or other purposes permitted by law.

In limited circumstances, we may collect information such as military or veteran status when you choose to provide it in connection with a discount or similar offering. We request that you do not provide sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary in the context of your interaction with us.

Financial Incentives

We may offer promotions, discounts, sweepstakes, giveaways, loyalty features, or other programs that involve the collection, retention, or use of personal information and that may be considered a “financial incentive” or “price or service difference” under certain laws. If we offer such a program, we will provide material terms at or before the time you enroll, including how to opt in, how to withdraw, the categories of personal information involved, and any related benefits.

If you participate in such a program, we may collect information such as identifiers, contact information, commercial information, preferences, and other information reasonably related to administering the program. Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time by following the program instructions, using the unsubscribe functionality where applicable, or contacting us at unsubscribe@vedderholsters.com.

DNT and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret DNT signals, our Services do not currently respond to DNT signals.

We recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), to the extent and in the manner required by applicable law. Where required, a recognized GPC signal will be treated as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and, where applicable, targeted advertising for that browser or device. For more information about GPC, please click here: https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other operational needs. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. To the extent required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent regarding material changes.
