Which holster is best for me?

While this question is different for each person, here are some suggestions.

  • The LightTuck IWB is available for a large number of gun models. These holsters are ultra-lightweight and each one is handcrafted to your unique gun in our Central Florida workshop. They are great for those that want a custom fit for their gun, but want minimum bulk as it adds very little to the actual size of your firearm.

  • The LightDraw OWB is a great outside the waistband holster. The all kydex design creates a consistent retention and fit whether or not you have the holster on your body. The optional pancake wings work to pull the holstered weapon closer to your body which creates minimal print when wearing concealed.

  • The RapidTuck IWB is a hybrid holster that’s handmade with either cowhide or horsehide leather, and molded Kydex shell to to your exact gun model. The cant and ride height are both adjustable to get the perfect position. This is a great option if you prefer leather over Kydex but still want a minimalistic holster.

  • The Quick Draw OWB is made with a premium leather backing and handcrafted Kydex shell. If you prefer a hybrid holster with belt loops over clips, this holster is designed to be worn OWB by fastening it with your belt through our precut durable belt loops (up to 1.75”).

  • The Pocket Locker is perfect for small framed guns and people that like carrying in their front pocket.

  • The ProTuck IWB is an inside the waistband hybrid holster that’s handcrafted with a durable Kydex shell and premium cowhide or horsehide leather. This holster is designed to be worn in the 4-5 o’clock position and features two points of contact for extra comfort and security.

  • The SideTuck IWB is designed to be worn inside the waistband in the appendix carry position. It has an attached custom mag carrier, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to carry a spare magazine. It is handcrafted with a Kydex shell and features adjustable retention and a claw attachment.

Care & Maintenance

How should I care for and maintain my holster?

Properly caring for your Kydex holster is critical to ensure it stays safe and functional for years to come.

It's important that your holster stays clean to keep dirt, lint, and debris clear of your weapon, which can damage it over time. Simply wipe your holster down with a damp cloth to remove surface-level debris, or use a rag to scrub it with lukewarm water and mild soap for a more thorough cleaning.

You should regularly inspect your holster and its hardware for proper fit and function, ideally before each use. Verify that all snaps, clips, and tension screws are secure and in working order, and check to make sure your weapon fits securely. If you notice any part of your holster is worn, loose, broken, defective, or ill-fitting, do not use it. Replace any damaged hardware before resuming use.

To help prevent the screws on your holster from backing out over time, we recommend applying a bit of Turbo-Fuse™ Blue Threadlocker onto the hardware to keep it in place until you need to adjust it again.

Can I leave my holster in a hot environment (like a hot car) or will this damage the plastic.

We recommend storing your holster in a room temperature environment to avoid damage from heat. We are based in Florida and have done extensive tests with our Kydex holsters to determine how they react under these circumstances. We have found that the vast majority of the time, in our hot Florida summer environment, the holsters hold up perfectly. The holsters can and will start to loose their shape in extreme heat (for example, when left in the direct sunlight (on the dashboard of a car)). If you live in an area with extreme heat, we recommend not leaving your holster in that environment as it can cause damage. If you are forced to leave your holster in a hot car, minimize exposure to the heat by placing it in a low, well ventilated area that is out of direct sunlight.

Gun & Holster Attachments

Will your holsters accommodate my aftermarket sights, RMRs, threaded barrel, ambidextrous thumb safety, left handed mag release, and/or extended mag release?

All of our holsters are designed to fit precisely with all stock parts on the gun models listed. They also accommodate most aftermarket sights. If you have installed oversized sights, an RMR, an extended mag release button, switched your mag release to the opposite side, added a threaded barrel, have an aftermarket ambidextrous thumb safety, or have any other add ons that you think could make a difference in the fit of your holster, simply make a note in the comments div during checkout describing the modifications you have made. Each of our holsters are handcrafted to order and the craftsman making your holster will see your note and be sure to make your holster to accommodate your precise setup. In the rare instance this is not possible for some reason, you will be contacted by customer service.

Why is the claw attachment on the LightTuck not available for my gun model? Will the claw help in every situation?

The claw attachment is designed to fit the majority of gun models. Unfortunately some smaller pocket pistols and guns with attachments do not have a shape that is compatible with the claw. Due to the high degree of adjustability of the LightTuck, it is most useful in the highest ride height setting with no more than 15 degrees of cant. This is a general guideline as every gun model is unique and some may offer more compatibility than others in a wider or narrower range of adjustment.

If I order a LightTuck with the claw and decide I don't want to use it sometimes, can it be removed? How is it removed?

The claw is easily removable with a phillips head screwdriver. Simply unscrew the retention screw, remove the claw attachment, and add the retention screw back using the smaller phillips screw included.

You offer a holster for a different gun model with my attachment, why isn't my model listed with that attachment? Can you make my model with that attachment?

Each of our holsters are made to the precise gun model and attachment listed. Our holsters are engineered to be molded with state of the art tooling which is made to the precise measurements of the gun and accessory listed in one solid tool, which makes the accessories not interchangeable. Our holsters are not made using actual firearms and accessories as the high heat used can cause damage to the original gun and accessory. Our tooling allows us to make the holsters with all of the proper channeling for any safeties, slide locks, loaded chamber indicators, etc…

Fit & Carry

Can I carry your holsters in the small of back position?

We do not recommend small of back carry for safety reasons as it can cause injury to your back in the event of a fall and also positions the gun in a reverse draw position which increases the risk of injuring yourself while drawing your weapon. If you chose to carry small of the back some customers opt to order the opposite hand draw holster and do carry successfully in the small of back position.

Can I wear your LightTuck in an outside the waistband (OWB) position?

The LightTuck is specifically designed to be worn inside the waistband. If worn outside the waistband with the opposite hand draw ordered, the sweat shield will be on the outside of the gun instead of against your body. It is possible to make a note in the comments div during checkout requesting no sweat shield which would eliminate the sweat shield altogether, however, keep in mind that this is not the intended use of the holster. We do offer three holsters specifically designed for OWB carry including the LightDraw, ProDraw, and QuickDraw holsters.

Will Kydex cause wear on my firearm?

Over time, with any holster and normal use of your gun, you may see wear on your firearm's finish. To help minimize this it is best to keep your holster clean from lint, dirt and debris. Kydex material is softer than any part of the guns surface; however, lint, dirt or any other foreign objects that get trapped in between your weapon and the Kydex will act as an abrasive causing additional wear to your weapon. We have found the smooth surfaces like the inside of Kydex will help protect your weapon far greater than any other material holsters. Leather, suede and other porous material holsters can be more abrasive than Kydex although softer to the touch. Your concealed carry weapon is a tool and one should expect with time and use to see distinct marks on his tools just like any other craftsmen would see wear on his tools with use. If your weapon is a collectable or investment class weapons, we do not recommend holstering it in any holster as some marks will diminish their long term value.

I have a gun model that is not listed, but it is very similar to another model you have listed, will my gun fit in that holster?

Each of our holsters are handcrafted to fit the precise gun model listed. Even slight differences can cause fit issues which is why we do not recommend using any firearms besides the model your holster was made for use with. Ill-fitting holsters can cause difficulty drawing, lack of proper retention and/or accelerated wear.

You do not offer a holster for my gun model, but I really want one! Can I send my gun/attachment for you to make a holster with?

We unfortunately cannot offer that at this time. We are not an FFL and also do not mold off of the actual firearm. Each holster is made with specific tooling designed from the actual firearm using the precise dimensions. The cost to create each tool is very expensive which is why we suggest contacting our customer service team and requesting your gun model. We keep a record of all requests and use this information to determine demand for each requested model which helps us decide which models should be added to our lineup.

How do I measure for your gun belts? What size gun belt should I order if I'm between sizes?

We recommend ordering your belt based off your actual pant size (based on standard mens pant sizing measurements), or by trying on an existing belt with your normal everyday carry setup. Mark the spot where your belt is set and then measure the length from that hole to the end of the belt - excluding the buckle. The sizes listed are both the pant size range the gun belt will most often fit accurately and the actual length in inches that the belts are adjustable to accommodate. If you are between sizes we typically recommend going with the larger size.

Why does my light bearing holster fit but not "click" like your other holsters?

Although we mold off the exact gun model and accessory listed, our light compatible holsters may not have a definitive "click" like our standard holsters. The retention point is slightly different to properly accommodate the light attachment, however, the friction based retention will still securely hold your gun as long as the light is attached.
