How To Install Your Vedder Claw

The Vedder Claw can easily be attached to most LightTuck model holsters. The claw is designed to keep your gun close to your body for reduced printing and better concealment.

All you need to attach the claw to your LightTuck holster is a drill, a small piece of scrap wood, the included template, and your original post and retention spacer. The claw attachment will come with instructional material, a template jig, and an extended retention screw.

Instructions:

The first step in attaching your new claw is to remove your existing retention setup using a Phillips screwdriver. Just be sure not to lose your hardware!

The second step is to take the provided jig and place the male end into the existing retention hole. Make sure to carefully align the jig with the bottom of the holster. Take a pen or pencil and mark where the hole in the jig is located.

Set aside the jig template and place a small piece of scrap wood between the gap. This step is to help ensure you don’t accidentally drill all the way through the holster.

Next, drill a hole where you marked your holster, being careful to only drill through one side.

Finally, use the hardware from your original retention to attach the claw, starting with the post. Insert the rubber spacer next, followed by the claw itself. Finish by replacing the extended retention screw and tightening it down.
