Pocket Locker LCP II
Was a bit worried about the thumb tab, and whether or not it would "dig" into my leg. Received my holster, and I am quite impressed with it, and finding the tab is not an issue. Fit is excellent. Well done Vedder!
The Vedder Holsters Pocket Locker is great for concealed carry of small sized pocket pistols in the front pocket of your pants- great for those that do not wish to carry around the waistline. The Pocket Locker features three possible ways to draw. First, when drawing your firearm from your pocket, the hook catches on the corner of your pants pocket and the firearm is drawn, free from the holster. Second, it is great for those that want a secure and custom holster for their carry bag or purse as the holster comes standard with eyelet hardware which can be used to attach paracord to the interior of your bag for snatch style un-holstering. Third, an optional thumb tab allows you to un-holster your gun with a simple thumb press. Each holster is custom molded from Kydex® to your unique gun model ensuring a perfect fit. It also comes with a full sweat guard. Sweat guards cover both sides of the entire slide of your pistol reducing its contact with moisture from your body. The barrel of the gun is completely covered to keep out pocket lint, dirt and debris.
Each Pocket Locker Holster is hand molded here in the USA!

This is my 3rd vedder holster and when I get more carry guns I'll get more vedder holsters.
I recently ordered a pocket holster for my CM9. This is a fantastic holster. It is very light and comfortable. The holster is high quality and the shipping was very fast. I just ordered another holster for my wife for her Glock 43.
You would be hard-pressed to find a better pocket Kydex holster than this one. Perfect fit for my Glock 42. This type of holster is far and away safer than using a soft, nylon type. The hook that catches inside your pants pocket will make for a sure draw if you need to do so. The security of the Kydex holster is infinitely more likely to prevent something foreign (like keys or a pen) accidentally slipped into the same pocket from getting inside the trigger guard--we all know not to do this, but who hasn't done it once or twice in an absentminded moment. Moreover, because your pistol stays clicked in the holster until you draw, it is again safer than a nylon pocket carry holster if you to place your holstered gun in a safe, drawer, glove box, on the nightstand, etc. As for the optional thumb release tab; my opinion is that it is unnecessary; the tab only adds unwanted thickness to your carry, while the hook at the bottom of the holster is more than adequate to keep the holster completely buried in your pocket while drawing. If you pocket carry, this holster is absolutely the way to go. Decent price, too.
It seems everything I order from Vedder rates 5 stars. My pocket holder is no exception. The fit and finish are perfect. I love the curve and thumb release. I highly recommend all Vedder products.
Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable and not noticeable at all.
I wondered whether Vedder reviews were fake. I can't say they aren't, but my holster is worth 5 stars. Their customer service was worth 5 stars also. I wanted something more concealable, but I love this holster. If concealability is your #1 issue, try the leather Recluse. If you care more about size and the extra safety of kydex, go with the Vedder.
The pocket locker is a well made holster, seems very durable, and I received it very quickly (I hate waiting). I use a Ruger LCP2 and it fits comfortably in almost all of my pockets but I do prefer it in baggier pants and shorts where it disappears completely. I like the thumb release because it greatly assists with removing the pistol but I wouldn't recommend it if you typically wear tighter clothing because it will push into your leg on the inside and create more of a "print" on the outside. Overall, a great holster and I highly recommend it.
Just received a 2nd PocketLocker for my new LCP2 (1st was for my Original LCP) and I am still impressed with how well the holster is built. The only difference is that the pocketlocker for the LCP2 seems to be a lot bigger than the one I had for my LCP... I know the gun is slightly larger but the PocketLocker is just overall bigger. I may have to try another one with the RH curve to see if it makes a difference.
Love it. It fits snug so I can throw it in my messenger bag and not worry about my gun falling out of the holster. Being thin, it doesn't add any kind of "bump" to my bags either. As for using it in my pocket, the design does a great job of keeping the gun from sliding around. This isn't my primary use for it but it does fit all the way in my jeans pocket if I needed it to. The build is solid and I have no worries that this will fall apart. All in all, a great buy, especially for the price.
I've been pocket carrying the LCP for years now, and I've tried many of the well known holsters on the market. While they do a fair job, I've never completely trusted any of them. I had to draw the pistol not long ago, and the holster - we'll just call it a 'pooper fly' for now - came out of the pocket with it. A change was needed, and that's when I found the Pocket Locker. The Vedder is perfectly sized, well designed, and flawlessly constructed. The thumb tab and the hook combine to ensure a proper draw every time. Look no further - the Pocket Locker is the finest front pocket holster extant.
I have Vedder Holsters. They are by far the best holsters I have ever owned. The staff at Vedder are very polite and knowledgeable. My wife and several friends have purchased their line of holster, mag carriers and belts. You cannot go wrong with Vedder
Pocket locker is great for Ruger LCP2.
Loved mine so much I ordered one for my dad. The thumb release is a nice touch. Also a safe way to store the gun with one in the chamber.
Got this for my XDS to use when it's not convenient to use my IWB holsters, meaning when I need a tucked in shirt. This fit my gun perfectly. I got the right hand curve and the thumb release tab option. Really like the thumb release as it helps insure you can pull the pistol out of the holster as you draw it by pushing on the thumb release, it just feels natural.
I use a pocket locker with my LCP and Glock 43. For the LCP, this is the perfect option. It doesn't flip around like other pocket holsters I have owned in the past. The thumb release is a must as it allows you to draw your weapon easier and keep a firm grip at the same time. The LCP "snaps" into place when you put it in the holster. So it won't come out. I was concerned that pocket carry of the glock 43 wouldn't be ideal. In my Lucky brand jeans, the holster fits my glock securely. I would say the tip of the grip does stick out because Lucky brand jeans do not have deep pockets. In my other jeans, the glock fits deeper. It definitely looks like something large is in my pocket, but nobody has ever said anything.
First, let me preface this review by saying that pocket carry has never really been my thing. I have done it, but found the neoprene holsters to be lacking. In addition, I never had full confidence that the holster would not come out with the gun, particularly with looser fitting pockets. I recently purchased a Ruger LCP 2, which comes with that type of holster, and the same issues occured. Plus neoprene could potentially fold and bond into the trigger guard. Unlikely, but stranger things have happened. So, before I heard of/purchased the Vedder Pocket Locker I tried another Kydex concept holster for pocket carry. Within days I got tired of it flipping off my trigger guard while in my pocket. Finally, that brings me to the best holster purchase I have made in a long long time. I purchased the model with the thumb break...GET THE THUMB BREAK! It is amazing! No matter how tight or loose the pocket, leverage your thumb on that tab and the gun slides out effortlessly. I have yet had to rely on the curved hook at the bottom to draw my firearm. I am not overly concerned with printing, particularly with a pocket pistol. That being said, even under my own scrupulous gaze, knowing what is in my pocket I would have to use my imagination to conjure up the conclusion that there is a pistol in my pocket. The craftsmanship is unbeatable, with the edges shined to a mirror finish and that audible click we love so much when holstering into kydex. If you are looking to pocket carry, your search is over! Also, for those that are cynical about people getting perks for reviews, I have no affiliation and have in no way been compensated for this review. I am a blue collar, single income, head of household that believes in my right to protect myself and my family, and am willing to pay for a quality product that makes this more convenient. Not only have I found just that, but now, so have you!
Locks my pistol in tightly; not even a little wiggle. Releases my pistol easily when I need it. It's a little wider than my previous holster. That extra width must prevent it from turning sideways in my pocket; it stays upright. Being precision made, it is quieter than my previous holster when I release my pistol. I want to take it out of my pocket and show it to everyone I see.
Fits my Glock 42 tightly. The "hook" catches my pocket nicely and the holster remains in my jean pocket when drawn. We will see how it holds up over time.
I have all three holsters from them -- LightTuck, RapidTuck, and the PocketLocker. I would rate both the LightTuck and the PocketLocket 5 stars, and the RapidTuck 4 stars. I would rate their customer service 10 stars if I could. This review is based on holsters made for the Glock G43. My first order was the RapidTuck. I made a typo in my zip code when placing the order and caused the post office to kept delaying my order day after day. I contacted Vedder (even though it wasn't their fault) about the circumstance and they immediately went above and beyond and ordered me another RapidTuck and shipped it right away. Well, when I got the RapidTuck eventually (I got two total, including the delayed one), tied it for a few days, and didn't really like the feel of it. - Leather was hard and didn't contour around as expected. I understand there's a break-in period with leather, but given haven't tried their LightTuck I didn't have anything to compare against. - The Kydex is only on on side, the other side is pure leather. Personally I didn't like that the entire gun wasn't protected by kydex. - It was a bit Bulky for me. I contacted Vedder and asked if I could try out the LightTuck. They immediately agreed all I had to do was send back the old one. Upon receiving the old one, they sent out he LightTuck. The LightTuck was much better. Great retention, great feel against the body, and very compact. I think most people should get the LightTuck, unless you are a leather fan then get the leather version. I liked it so much that when they had the memorial day sale I ordered the PocketLocket. A few days later it arrived. It fit perfectly inside my cargo pants and the holster stayed inside the pocket during draws. It also comes with a thumbtab so you can loosen the retention while still inside your pocket for a more guaranteed draw. I did mess around with the PocketLocker with a heatgun to customize the retention and to lessen the thumbtab intrusion. It is definitely not something you have to do, but I'm just OCD about many things when I first got it.
Love this holster, thin, light, perfect fit and Quality,,..NO REGRETS HERE
I have purchased several Vedder holsters for duty use and off duty. I have found them all to be exceptional quality and the shipping time far exceeds any other holster company. Thank you for making them quickly and with good quality. I also love the selection of colors and patterns since most other companies do not offer these. This pocket holster for my Glock 42 works perfect for my backup and fits nicely in my uniform pants pocket. I have purchased a few of these holsters for my brothers and fellow officers. The weapon locks into the holster with a nice solid snap and draws easy. Overall excellent and I will be purchasing more in the future.
The pocket holster looks great, came fast, and customer service responds quickly to emails
Bought for 380 Bodyguard, has good retention, bought with tab and feel it assist when drawing pistol, would recommend it, could easily remove it if you didn't like it, quality product and well thought out design
Fits my Glock 42 great. Fast shipping & very happy
I was using my Remora sticky holster as a pocket holster, but wanted a thinner profile. Stumbled across the Vedder line, and bought a black Kydex one for Roger LC9 with no thumb break. Love it! Thin, stays in all of my pockets of all different kinds of jeans, dress pants, and shorts! Will be getting another soon for my XDS 45!
Purchased pocket rocket for my Lcp 2 and very happy with my purchase, fits like a glove.
Best pocket holster I have ever owned. Great retention and disappears in my pocket. It locks the gun in place and will not fall out in your pocket yet is easy to pull from the pocket with the thumb tab. Great quality and the Mandrake color and design are top notch.
This is my second Pocket Locker Holster and I could not be more impressed. Purchased this for a new Glock 43 and the fit and retention are perfect. There are many companies producing Kydex® holsters, this is by far the best on the market. Your pistol is completely covered and protected, only the butt and magazine release are exposed. Pocket carry is the way to go, works super with jeans or shorts, I wear shirt untucked or have light jacket. The super part with these holsters is the Kydex® material is easily molded to fit your body, shape and preference. Use a heat-gun on low setting or hairdryer, does not take much, and you can form the "paddle" portion to exactly fit your preference. I am right handed, so I order the right hand curved holster with thumb break and wear it in my left front pocket with the butt facing forward. So cross draw, so much more comfortable to wear and sit, enter exit vehicle. In my opinion, wearing the holster in this manner is more easily concealable and offers a quick and easy draw. This is most probably the best holster I have found for concealed carry and easy to conform to your body shape. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again!
The Pocket Locker Holster is ideal for concealed carry, lightweight and comfortable. I carry every day and this purchase was for a Ruger LC9S Pro 9mm. Super fit, great retention and will not leave any wear on the finish to the firearm taking in and out of the holster. The fit is so precise that you will hear a definite snap upon holstering your pistol. You can turn the holster upside down and shake it vigorously, the firearm will not fall out. Yet using your thumb on the release tab easily frees the gun, purchase the model with the Thumb Release Tab. I have carried concealed weapons for over 20 years and this is the best holster I have ever found. Do not hesitate, buy it, you will love it!
Just received pocket locker for my wife's sig p238. Fits gun perfectly and she said is very comfortable in her pocket. Love the fast shipping and quality products from vedder.
This is my third Vedder Holster. My first was the Light truck for my Beretta PX4-Storm Compact the 2nd was the Pocket Locker for my Ruger LCP380 and the 3rd is another Pocket Locker for my new Sig-Sauer P238. When I first got my new holster for my P238 the Pocket Locker kept coming out of my pocket whenever I drew my Sig-Sauer P238. After a few days of dry practice, the Pocket Locker stayed in my pocket and performs as is was made to do. I will buy only Vedder Holsters for all my firearm needs.
Full coverage of the firearm. Doesn't add bulk. Retention is just right. Thumb tab and hook work perfectly.
Fits like a glove, feels great in the pocket, would highly recommend.
This works extremely well for my Glock 43. You read that right. It's on the larger side of pocket carry but with the Pocket Locker, it looks like a large cell phone. Very easy to slide in and out of pocket. Stays in the pocket on the draw thanks to the hook. I did not opt for the thumb tab. It's just the right retention too. Not too tight but enough to hold it in place. Comes out smooth. Love it. My third Vedder and always a pleasure to do business with. They have the best sale/customer service (haven't need CS though).
I've tried about a half dozen in-the-pocket holsters and this one is the best. My Luger LCP Custom with the higher signs fits great. Molded holster is secure and tight, pistol will not fall out. Thumb release is a great idea that works. The hook works great to release gun when drawing.
Conceal carrying in South Texas in the summer can become uncomfortable in the heat. The solution is the Pocket Locker with a lightweight handgun (Ruger LCP II). Easy carry and easy draw. Absolutely love the thumb tab feature on the Vedder.
Best I've purchased. Fits gun perfectly. Light and hides well. I highly recommend.
Fits gun well, but allows for easy removal. I will probably use it in my purse most of the time, but for nighttime it will fit in jeans perfectly.
I never write reviews but after having acquired a pile of other holsters (including Kydex holsters), wanted to say this is a great holster for my Glock 42 380. I feel very comfortable carrying the Glock, i.e. No accidental discharge of the striker trigger. It is well made and looks good. I got the carbon fiber. Also, definitely get the tab. I just ordered the same holster for my Ruger LCP.
I just purchased a new Ruger LCP 11 380 and wanted a pocket holster for it. The one that Ruger provided I would not carry chambered. The Vedder protects the trigger much better. Make sure you practice unloaded with the gun while you work out the best draw technique for you. My shooting buddy is ordering one this week after trying mine out. From order to receiving was around a week. Bottom line I rated it A plus and get the tab.
This is the best pocket holster I have ever used. I have a Ruger LCP ii and got one of these for it . It stays upright in my pocket and has never come out of the holster while in my pocket.
I'm very impressed by both the holster itself and service! I had a request for a pocket holster for the Kimber Micro 9 with the crimson trace handguard installed from the factory. They didn't have a precut version of the holster for the crimson trace version (a very new model), so they cut out a notch for the are whenever the laser head resides. The communication on this was impressive and included a phone call and an email (with picture) in order to approve the approach they would take. This is my second pocket holster from Vedder and I will continue to be a customer for a long.
This pocket holster fits my firearm like a glove! The snap helps distribute the weight in my pocket. I have to remind myself it's there! Great product and price with quick shipping!!!
Great holster so far. Exactly what I was looking for. Fits great in the pocket. What I wasn't expecting is how well it works in the car. Definitely worth the price.
Bought this holster after I put a crimson trace laserguard on my glock 42. Really like how thick and sturdy it is. The retention was a little too much to make a good draw until I put a small amount of crossbow string and rail wax on the inside of the holster.
I love this holster and would recommend it to anyone The gun stays Secure in the holster and The Hook design Grabes the pocket and the gun pulles out easy It is in my pocket everyday
I purchased the pocket locker for my Ruger LC9s to help conceal my fire arm while wearing shorts. This product works better than expected. It helps prevent my fire arm from printing through my shorts. Also it is easier to withdraw from my pocket without it hanging onto my pocket. The pocket locker helps guide it out with ease while the holster stays in my pocket. Since purchasing the pocket locker I carry the Ruger more often with more comfort than being in my pocket alone
I'm 6'1" and 150 lbs, carrying a G42 with TLR-6 right handed curve and thumb tab. It fits my gun perfectly and does a great job of protecting the trigger. I feel extremely confident in avoiding negligent discharges with this holster. The holster catches really well on all pants I own and rarely comes out with the gun after practice, when the gun is drawn sideways and not directly upwards. Holster also keeps lint out of barrel which the DeSantis does not do. This holster was too wide for my skinny legs with the right hand curve printing quite a bit on the outside of my thigh. So I held it over a hot stove and bent it some more with a pair of tongs (sorry guys!). It felt wrong doing this to such a finely crafted product, but now it works with every pair of pants and shorts I own except the tightest chinos. Looks like a cell phone/tablet/notepad in my pocket in fitted pants, and looks invisible in baggy/tactical pants. I also noticed some pants work very well on the draw and some pants make for a very clumsy slow draw. I recommend pants with vertically stitched ( / shaped) pocket openings (like dress pants commonly have) over pants with horizontal stitching ( U shaped) (like Levi's). The gun sights will get caught on the fabric less if you have vertical pockets. The gun will be about 1/2 in higher in your pocket than it would be unholstered, so it might peek out of pockets that you think should fit it.
I ordered this holster probably about 2 weeks ago and have been carrying it ever since. The form is perfect and it feels much more secure than my other pocket holster that came with my LCP II. One major problem that I have with it is that it prints while inside dress pants/slacks. It isn't horrible, but people with a good enough eye can definitely see that my pocket has an outline of a handgun. A recommendation I have is to maybe flatten the outside of the holster, or even use a thicker piece of kydex on the outside portion to really hide the outline of the gun. If something is done to correct this issue, I think this holster will be hands-down the best pocket holster to buy.
Best pocket Holster money can buy. I have a LCP 2, looked and looked for the best holster, by far Vedder is the best. Best design,Best Fit,Best Colors that can match anyone. You won't find a better holster anywhere else!
The Good: Way better than the cloth or leather pocket holsters I've used before. It holds my Sig P238 very securely. With the thumb tab its very easy to remove the pistol. Its also very quite. I find that the holster, even with the thumb tab, is completely comfortable in jeans. In dress slacks, its quite irritating. I think this is because the pockets are made out of a finer material that doesn't provide as much padding. Over the course of the week, it rubbed and irritated me by the end of the week. In jeans no problem at all. The hook catches on the edge of the pocket and provides enough resistance to unholster the pistol without issue. The thumb tab isn't reall necessary for me. If you only wear jeans, then I'd recommend ordering with the tab as it does provide another option. What to improve: The kydex is very smooth, but still prints quite clearly in dress slacks. It also slides around in the pocket. I wrapped a couple rubber bands around the kydex and it seems to reduce the print and improve in-pcket traction. **VH COMMENT** JD, Thank you for your feedback. I will certainly pass your comments along to our product development team for review as we are always taking customer feedback into consideration for future product releases and improvements. Thank you for your business and have a great day! Best regards, Brooke Vedder Holsters, LLC
Very well made pocket holster this is my third Vedder holster that I purchased in the last 6 months. The quality is great prices are reasonable and customer service is great.
The pocket locker works well in a deep pocket. Only some of my jeans have a deep enough pocket to carry there with a G43. The best pants are cargo style with a zippered cargo pocket. Those pockets are on the side of the lower thigh and you can carry quite comfortably. No matter where you carry it is not a fast draw holster, but you will have a pistol with you.
I purchased two pocket locker holsters; one for a Remington RM380 and the second for a Ruger LC9s. I have to tell you that my major concern for pocket carry was to insure no possible accidental discharge. These pocket holsters fit the bill. These two holsters offer a very good fit and keep the trigger secure but still give an easy firearm removal. The barrel end of the holster is completely enclosed preventing any debris from entering. There are no sharp edges. I would highly recommend these kydex holsters for pocket holster. I am now considering a third holster, the Rapid Tuck or Light Tuck for a Springfield xds.
I do field service work in customer's homes, a lot of areas I go are not the best places anyone wants to be. I carried it for 2 days without any firearm. I needed time to get use to it, make sure it was going to stay in my pocket and was comfortable for the long day. I have since started carrying my LC9. No complaints from the customer, conceals very well. Thank you
I bought this to hold my M&P Shield in a concealed carry vest. The pistol is protected from lint, does not print, is safe and secure. The thumb tab makes it easy to safely draw with astonishing speed. Outstanding product.
Bought this in a colored pattern for my wife's G43 for Xmas. this is for pocketbook carry so it was ordered with the thumb release. The holster was a little tight brand new but loosen up in a few days with the gun warped in plastic. The holster is a perfect fit with an audible click when the gun is seated. The colored pattern is bright, does not scratch and looks like it will not fade. My wife loves this holster.
I initially purchased a pocket locker for my bodyguard.380. I am very impressed with it. The Kydex inside is very smooth, the outside edges are all rounded and smooth, and the retention is great (there is an audible 'click' when it is holstered completely). The trigger is completely covered and I feel very safe with it in my pocket. I ordered the thumb tab option and it really does help with leverage and drawing your firearm quickly. The tab does dig into my thigh at times if I am wearing light pants (think wind/gym pants), which brings me to my next point. I ordered another pocket locker for my glock 42 and left an order comment that I would like the thumb tab shaved down a little more to help alleviate my previous issue. Vedder read my comment and did just what I asked, and the holster came perfect to my wants/needs. Very impressed with Vedder customer service and turnaround time (had it within a week of ordering). Can't wait to get my light tuck in the mail now.
Excellent holster for pocket carry fit G42 like a glove. Holds firearm straight in pocket for easy draw (with practice) can't tell you are carrying. Fast shipping no 10 day PLUS waiting time. Have other holsters from Vedder excellent product and quality. Like the bag the holster comes.
Great product very good craftsmanship and quality materials, the perfect match for my RM380 and also have one for my XDs. The XDs is a tad big and heavy to be pocket carried but it's doable. The only consideration to have with this style of holster is gun wear on guns finish, but I that doesn't bother me I think it adds character to a carry gun to show you use it.
I like this holster because it doesn't add much bulk to the gun. It stays in the pocket and retains the pistol well, but the thumb tab makes it easy to release and draw. I use it with a Glock 43 which is a little large in my opinion for pocket carry, but with this holster it works well as long as your pockets are deep enough.
First off, Vedder was a pleasure to deal with. They went above and beyond any possible request. They actually took it upon themselves to accommodate me without me asking for any special instructions. Then as to the holster. Molded perfectly, smooth perfect lines. Will buy again.
Just like it says and fits my Nano perfectly. Looks like I'll be coming back for any holster needs and their prices are very good
My second purchase from Vedder. Quick delivery as advertised. Bought this pocket locker for my Sig P238. The fit is great. As thin and form fitting as it can get. I was using a De Santis "rubber" pocket holster but it was very bulky in my pocket and half the time would come out with the gun when drawn. The thumb tab is a great feature, between this and the hook hooking the pocket I am much more confident and consistent in my draw. Very smooth edges and great work,a ship. Great job Vedder!
Received it today...not much use yet but fits perfect with zero bulk. Trigger coverage is complete with zero worry about snags.
First time buyer and I'll definitely be back. Ordered this for my new LCP2 which came with a pocket holster but it didn't fit my needs and was very basic. The Vedder holster is a perfect fit, tight, secure and comfortable. Very high quality.
Quite surprised when I opened my Pocket Locker holster package. First thing I noticed was the smooth edges. Every inch was smooth and detailed. Then I placed my new Kahr PM9 into it and turned it upside down. Solid and secure, holding it like a glove. The curve made the holster fit well in both the front and back of my pant's pocket . It simply disappeared. The thumb lip made drawing it a breeze. I was so impressed with the thoughtfulness and quality that I immediately ordered 2 mag carriers. Will not hesitate to order more holsters from Vedder in the future.
My first Vedder Holster. I'm very pleased with the fit and detail work. Perfect "click" as gun is seated securely in the holster. No sharp edges. I ordered mine with the optional thumb release tab. The release is big enough to work and small enough that I don't feel it while it's in my pocket. Gun doesn't print but you still have a moderate lump showing in your pocket. As with all pocket holsters you will need to practice your draw with each pair of pants you plan on wearing. I will buy from Vedder again.
I purchased this Vedder pocket locker holster for my Kahr P380 because I had bought a sticky material type holster that would not release the pistol when pulled from the holster. This is the fourth Vedder holster I have purchased and the third pocket locker and they have all formed to the weapon perfectly. The thumb snap is a great feature and helps you confront the enemy in the fastest way possible. You won't be disappointed if you purchase any of their products . Really fast turnaround
I received my Pocket locker for my Beretta Pico and I am completely satisfied! The quality is excellent and my gun fit with the classic Kydex click! Very secure and comfortable in my pocket! I do wish that there was an option for no "hook" but that would be for my Glock 43! Great company and fast service! Thanks Vedder!
I ordered a pocket holster for my Ruger LCP II. Loved it so much that I ordered another for my Sig P938. Great product and now I carry with a round in the chamber since I don't have a flimsy Uncle Mike's holster.
I have a Light Tuck IWB and am very please with its construction, fit, comfort and versatility. I expected nothing less from the Pocket carry model and I was right. It fits my pistol like a glove and conceals very nicely. Thumb release is a plus. I can conceal this many places and in many pockets. I highly recommend Vedder. PS I researched alot of holsters before I picked Vedder.
Was looking for a simple ambidextrous pocket holster and this model works just fine! Covers the Sig P938 back as far as the Safety, the wing catches the side of your pocket on drawing which leaves the holster in the pocket. Works!
I've only carried this around a few times but it really feels comfortable! I will buy again after I get another gun.
Great holster for my Remington Rm380. I had used other pocket holster and the magazine release button would be press while inside my pocket. One time I removed the gun from my pocket and the mag fell right out. I asked Vedder Holster if they could make the holster cover the mag release buttons which they did. The holster was perfect, it covered the mag release button just enough to protect them from being press while in the pocket. I never had another problem with my mag coming out!
This my third holster from these folk. My first one did not work out, but I love the way they took care of me They got me one that works great. This pocket locker is wonderful.
I have to admit, having bought more than my share of holsters in my days, I was a little wary about buying one from a company I didn't know. However, what I can now say, is that I could not be happier. The communication and shipping post order was excellent, and the quality and fit of the product was exceptional. I don't think I've ever bought a holster that "just worked for me" as well as this does. I am sure I will be a customer for a long time.
This did not work for me but I had no problems getting the issues fixed. They were very speedy on getting me the holster then replying to my issues I had. Would recommend them with no hesitation.
excellent fit . No rough edges. Like the tab to assist removing the holster. Prompt service & phone follow up . Delivery as quoted time wise . Also have one for Glk43...both work well. No disappointment.
The holster is much more comfortable than my Desantis. It's much less bulky and feels "light in the pocket". It is the ONLY pocket holster for my G42. The craftsmanship is top notch.
The holster fits my Glock 42 and my pants pocket perfectly. There's no way to tell that I'm actually carrying unless someone were to feel my pocket. It's great for when its too hot out to carry my Glock 23 AIWB. Or when my attire dictates that I pocket carry. The thumb release I got on mine gives me a more discrete way of drawing my firearm without digging into my thigh at any point.
After using a competitive pocket holster for ~8 years, I purchased this for my new CT380. For the first time I can reholster without using two hands. I bought the thumb release model, but after experimenting I find that the hook works better as soon as one gets in the habit of drawing back instead of straight up. Definitely recommend this product.
Unlike some manufacturers, you don't have to wait weeks at a time for holsters to ship. The fit is great on my Kahr CW380, and it works great in the pocket. I would not hesitate to use them gain in the future.
Bought this for my wife and her G42. Works perfectly for her and it came in her color "Tiff Blue" and she loved. Shipping and ordering was great. Thanks
The holster works in any type of fabric for concealment. Ex. Thin material or denim material. Gun slides in and out of pocket easily. I recommend the thumb piece to help with a draw from the pants pocket.
Why my second choice? Because this is for my second pocket pistol. I ordered this holster several months ago for my SIG P238 and wear it almost everyday. I recently purchased a Glock 42 and the first accessary I purchased was another Vedder Pocket Holster. I plan on purchasing two more small pistols in the next six to twelve months, and both of them will get a fitted Vedder Pocket Holster. I have never been disappointed with the quality or the service.
Having carried in right front pocket since 1964,(Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, & Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation) I can say this is one of the best, if not the best pocket holster (so far) I have ever used.
My Kryptek yeti pocket locker (GLOCK 43) is great! Fits well and looks even better. 3rd holster from this company and I couldn't be happier. Need big pockets for this particular carry piece, but not to big. I love how it COVERS AND PROTECTS THE BARREL. Only company I know that makes a holster that does this for the pocket. PS- Had an issue with my first one having a light color pattern. They emailed me and took care of it with no questions asked. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The design has hardly any black in the yeti kryptek. Basically just a plain white holster. :-(. Disappointing considering this is the 3rd holster I've bought from vedder. My other yeti kryptek from them is decent, but still a little faded. **VH COMMENT** Coolmetal, I am sorry to hear that the pattern on your holster is not as defined as you would like. The Kryptek Yeti design does have a decent amount of white in the pattern, but we do work to make each holster contain as much of the pattern as possible. We want you to be thrilled with your holsters and have put in for a replacement to be made and sent to you right away. Thank you for your business and we look forward to getting this switched out for you. Best regards, Brooke Vedder Holsters, LLC
I bought this for my s&w bodygaurd with built in Crimson trace laser.. The gun fits perfectly in the holster. It covers all the vital areas. There is absolutely the right amount of retention for the perfect draw every time.. Virtually undetectable in my pocket with no imprinting. Will never go anyplace else for my holster needs.
I liked the fact that the holster is closed at the bottom, keeping lint & dirt out but It just won't stay in the pocket on draw. I had better performance from Alabama Pocket holsters I've owned. Well, live & learn just wasted another $40. **VH COMMENT** Ed, I am sorry to hear about this issue with your holster. Each of our holsters are backed with a 30 day money back guarantee which is described in the paperwork that comes with each holster as well as on our website. Using the integrated hook for unholstering your weapon can take some practice and technique and can also be affected by external factors including style of clothing. This is one of the reasons why we also include the option of the thumb tab for unholstering independently from the hook. We thank you for your interest in our products and hope you have a nice day. Best regards, Brooke Vedder Holsters, LLC
Great fit. like the thumb tab and the curve. lightweight and solid.
Love my pocket locker holsters. Originally tried pocket carry because I could not find and IWB holster that I liked, very glad I did. This holster allows me to carry all day without any issues. I currently own two of these, one for my PPS and one for my LC9s. Both are high quality and fit the gun perfectly.
I wanted a good pocket holster that would contain my new Walther PPS M2,fit the pistol perfectly and make it ride in the correct position and to be able to bring the pistol into action when needed. I had purchased one from another maker for my PPK and liked it very much, however the 6-8 week build time made me look at other options. In doing my research I came across the Vedder. I ordered an apendix style kydex holster and the pocket holster on a Friday and had both within a week. Both items were of great quality and fitted my pistol perfectly. I highly recommend this company.
I feel very secure with this pocket holster. Due to the wider base, it does not tip over in my pocket like my old one. I paid extra for a turquoise kydex so I can see it better when I toss it on my bed or on a counter. Love it!
Much better than a similar holster from A....... Holster company, and no 6 week wait.
I only picked pick out this holster as a last ditch effort to find a comfortable method of carrying an XDS 3.3. I never could seem to get the IWB holsters to ride comfortably, this holster has solved the problem perfectly. Simply slide it into the front pocket of your pants and you are all set. The holster has a slight curve to it that conforms to the shape of your thigh helping to reduce any outline or sharp angles. The thumb catch ensures the weapon will only be drawn when you want to it be which is an added plus. I would highly recommend this holster as a great option if you are not comfortable with the IBW carrying methods.
I received this holster for my Sig Sauer P238 and when I attempted to draw the gun the hook caught in the pocket like it's designed to, but then it caused the holster to roll backwards and the barrel slide would wedge into the trigger guard area of the holster and jam. If I persisted in pulling, it probably would have torn my clothes before releasing the gun! I contacted Vedder holsters about this, and they were surprised but said they'd get back with me. I got a follow-up call and he said that they had been able to reproduce the problem, and discovered that it was a flaw in the holster because of the way they were being molded, and he was going to reach out to a few other recent customers that might have received a faulty product too. They sent me a replacement, and it works VERY well. I'm delighted with it, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the prompt help and good service. That's not something that's very common anymore, but Vedder did the right thing and they did it quickly! I'd definitely recommend this pocket holster, it's the best one I've ever used.
Well priced well made. I would recommend this holster I give it 10 stars it took me some time to find a good pocket holster and with the Vedder pocket holster there is no need to look any further!!
I've been carrying my pistols in a pocket holster for 5 years now. Countless dollars and time have gone into finding the perfect match, I will search no more. The pocket locker puts all other holsters of this nature to shame. Craftsmanship is top notch, the thumb release feature is amazing and the speed of delivery was amazing. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.
Best Kydex crew around! - Perfect fit & retention - Many custom options Just reveived my second flawless Kydex holster. I will be back in the future for any holster needs.
The best quality and fit.
I've owned a number of other pocket holsters, notably Alabama pocket and DeSantis but they are shoddy compared to Vedder. I really like the thumb break as it makes it very easy to draw.
I have absolutely no connection with the folks at Vedder, other than purchasing about 6 of them over the last few years. THESE, WITHOUT QUESTION, ARE THE BEST Kydex holsters on the market. I have several from other brands to prove it! And their Customer Service is unrivaled. Before ordering, I've often emailed some questions about my specific needs. Emails are ALWAYS answered in a prompt and informative manner. WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE? As their new cloth bag which the holster arrives is says, "Vedder didn't invent Kydex, we just perfected it"! Thank you, James
I have taken the time to carry the Pocket Locker for a month before writing my review. First, let me begin by stating this is a great little product. Being Kydex, it is lightweight, and the edges are rounded and smooth. Which is great for lighter fabric trousers, and the sealed bottom is great for keeping out pocket lint. But my favorite feature is the thumb ramp for draw assistance. I have carried the Pocket Locker for a Kahr CW380, with a right hand draw since April 14, 2016, and if the need arose, I would purchase again, but with a couple of suggestions. My primary reason for this purchase was due that I work in an office environment, and pretty much wear slacks each day. Because of this, I was in search of something which would conceal a small firearm. When dropping the Pocket Locker into a pair of jeans or cargo shorts/pants, it disappears and there isn't much of a silhouette to speak of, which is great. However, in thinner, slack material, the outline of the pistol prints a bit more. My two suggestions are this: flattening out the front/outward facing portion of the holster, and bring the offset of the curvature out a bit more to further break up the outline. I do understand the need for retention, and the Pocket Locker does a great job of that, but the outside of the holster is quite a bit formed, and when sitting the outline is very noticeable. I did debate on whether to purchase the product based on the pictures on the site based on the formation around the pistol, but, hey, I like supporting my fellow Americans! Which bring me to my second point, the curvature. In my opinion, due to the formation of the Kydex around the pistol, the leg curvature seems a bit far back adding to the print in lighter clothing. When sitting at a desk or in a meeting, it can be quite obvious as to what is hidden beneath. It does well for breaking up the bottom silhouette of the holster, but that still leaves the print of the handgun. Vedder Holsters has a 30 return policy, but to be honest, I never entertained that idea. I love the Pocket Locker for jeans, cargo pants/shorts, and other clothing, however I will still need to find another alternative to carry when in slacks, which the LightTuck may be next on the list (did not purchase first due to the fact I have to enter a school twice a day, and carry is a no-no). Thanks Vedder Holsters for a quality product.
Sometimes i don't always carry my larger Ruger and just need something secure to hold my smaller CW380 and it works just tossing it in my pocket. Snaps the gun in place and securely protects the slide and trigger. Love the thumb tab option too. Good work Vedder
First off Vedder makes the best Kydex holsters on the market between their Lightuck and Pocket Locker. There are better alternatives as far as hybrid holsters go however. But back to the Pocket Locker. It offers the perfect amount of resistance. I first bought a curved Locker. After receiving it i noticed although the curve made it very comfortable, i noticed the firearm would easily turn in my pocket (BG380). The printing still made out a firearm, and if the corner did not catch on the pocket i would have to use two hands to remove the holster. After exchanging it for a ambidextrous no curve Locker with a Thumb release option i couldnt be happier. The Locker being flat stabilizes the firearm so much more and the printing is gone completely. And even if the corner does not catch, or if i want to draw from inside my pocket first, the thumb release makes it much easier and more practical to accomplish a draw reliably. So in my first hand opinion, get the ambidextrous/no curve Locker with a thumb release
I was looking for a pocket holster for my SIG P238. I had always just used those soft holsters (you know the ones) and had never used kydex holster so this was something new for me. Two things caught my eye, the very nice website which is easy to navigate and give complete descriptions, and the thumb feature on the pocket holster. I will also say email communication was great. All questions answered in a timely manner. Now to the holster. Out of the box it fit my little SIG perfectly. Well made with attention to detail. I wear jeans 99% of the time and it fits perfectly in my jean pocket and the thumb release works like a charm. I think enough of this holster that I plan on ordering another one if a different color plus, I plan on ordering one of their IWB and OWB holsters. I highly recommend Vedder products.
As of now these are the only holsters I will buy! I have the RapidTuck Holster for my Glock 43 and I never even know I'm carrying it! The Pocket Locker is a nice addition for summer carry as well!
Recently purchased a Vedder holster for my Sig p238. I'm a left handed shooter and got the the curved option as well as the 'lip' feature. The lip feature sounded great on paper but in my pocket, it felt like a screwdriver was sticking into my leg. A suggestion to Vedder..... "roll" the lip a little more so a rounded edge makes contact with the leg and not the 90 degree, bent over straight edge of the lip. If you're using shallow pocket, you won't notice it. If your pockets are deeper, the lip feature will jab right into your thigh. What I did to fix this was, took out my dremel and sanded the lip down then a buffer wheel to smooth it out and perfection! I still have a tiny lip to "prime" the gun with and it's super comfortable now. All in all, a great holster that's sealed at the bottom to keep out pocket lint and the hook does a good job of preventing the entire holster from popping out when you draw it.
My first time buying Vedder products. I bought this and a RapidTuck. The Pocket Locker is a great design. My only complaint is it fits my Kahr PM9 w/ CT a little too tight. I'm hoping over time this will loosen up some. Everything else is perfect about this holster. Thank you! *VH COMMENT* Will, Thank you for your recent order! We do offer complimentary retention adjustments with all of our holsters, so if you ever decide that you would like the retention on your Pocket Locker adjusted, please just let us know and we will be happy to get that setup for you. Thank you for your business! Best regards, Brooke Vedder Holsters, LLC
I was looking for a kydex pocket holster, and came across Vedder holsters, I ordered it and it arrived only a week after I ordered it. I am very happy with it, the Glock 42 fits perfectly and it sits in my front pocket nicely. I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered a Light Tuck for one of my other guns, these guys will be my go to for kydex holsters.
I pocket carry and there is no printing whatsoever. The key is picking the right pants and pocket.
After endless hours of holster shopping, I found this awesome product that molds perfectly and securely retains my Glock 43. Low profile and very minimal printing in pocket. Release from holster exiting the pocket works every time. Superior trigger protection and sturdy enough to protect in any pocket, yet not bulky. Also purchased the Rapid Tuck for G43, fit is perfect and quality of leather and workmanship is second to none. You will be pleased with the outstanding customer service and attention to detail from this company!
I received my holster two days after ordering. Came in a nice little package. Immediately put my gun in and began carrying my sig p238. I will be ordering more holsters from vedder.
What a great holster I wanted a pocket holster for an HK p30sk with ambi manual safety levers and vedder holsters made one special for me and it works great and looks great and it also got made fast none of that waiting for weeks like other holster companies vedder holsters is awesome. thank you
I like having options for concealed carry and the Vedder Pocket Locker is a wonderful addition to have. Thumb tab and curve of the holster are great additions. Practice your draw. Practice, practice, practice.
This is an exceptional product I first purchased one for my glock 43 and I liked it so much I purchased one for my Sig sauer p938. I only wish that it had a little more curvature so it would sit in my pocket a little better but even then it's not that big of a deal.
My ruger lc9s fits very well in the shell however it does break up the outline of the weapon in my pocket. Looks exactly like I have a pistol in my pocket. Worse it has failed to stay in my pocket when drawing every time. Will be returning this product for their lighttuck for my new sig p238. Love the light tuck. **VH COMMENT** Cory, Thank you for your feedback. The amount of print that is visible in your pocket does vary based on your gun model and clothing style, but the majority of the time, the print should not be noticeable. With regard to the holster drawing with your gun, it does take practice to get the hook to catch on your pants. We also offer an optional thumb tab at no additional cost that allows you to unholster your weapon while still in your pocket, which would also resolve this issue. We are glad to hear that your LightTuck holster is working out well for you and thank you for your business. Best regards, Brooke Vedder Holsters, LLC
This product fits inside my jeans front pocket well, works as advertised. Just wish the retention was a tad tighter, it's a real loose fit making for easy extraction but if you hold it upside down and give a light shake it will fall out. More of a worry if I drop the gun/holster I'd wish the gun would stay in the holster. Otherwise it's what I was looking for.
Awesome fit and finish. Holster is very well designed pocket holster. Works awesome!
I bought this pocket holster for my new SIG P238. It is a strong and well-made product. The fit is great, but it does need a little normal "wear and tear" to be perfect. When new, the holster tends to retain the pistol a little more securely than I care for, making it a little hard to remove from the pocket quickly. However, I'm sure it will improve with practice and use. Otherwise, I love it and highly recommend it!
I was in search of a good pocket holster and after many failed attempts I found this holster and it has been everything I have wanted. The holster rides every day in my pocket and fits the Glock 42 perfect, you cannot tell I have it and it is very comfortable . I look forward to doing business with Vedder holster again !!
1) Perfect fit and slim. 2) The trigger is completely covered. 3) The retention level is just right if you 'hook' backward slightly during the draw. This method also allows you to draw your firearm with 'master grip' in place. 3) The curved option is great to reduce printing. 4) I personally feel that the thumb release is not really needed because of #3.
I have bought a few pocket holsters from reputable companies only to be let down. When I saw the POCKET LOCKER I was impresed how it wraps the whole firearm not just half. The thumb tab is a feature I never heard of but thought it is a good idea. Anyway I ordered one and received it very fast, the PACKADGING itself is way cool I will leave it at that not to ruin any surprise. Let's just say I was very impressed on how it is packaged. The first time I picked up the holster I could feel the quality. My GLOCK 42 fits perfectly it disappears in my pocket and the holster stays in my pocket EVERYTIME I draw the weapon. It is a very very good buy. It gives me hope that there are still quality holsters out there. VEDDER HOLSTERS is an AWSOME company that sales and stands behind there great product. Thank you Vedder family and employees. You all ROCK..... Ron
Delivered on all promises! Custom made, shipped on time, easy to track and received early! Fits my LC380 like a glove and draws easily. Thanks for your superb service and great product!
In a word, outstanding! Bought this for my Kahr P380, and couldn't be happier. I tried other pocket holsters and could never get a clean, consistent draw from the pocket. I found it extremely difficult to remove the pistol from my pocket without the holster coming out with it. The "Pocket Locker" with thumb tab totally eliminated this problem for me. From the first practice draw, and every draw since, the holster remains in my pocket. Plus, the "Pocket Locker" does a much better job of concealing the shape of the pistol within my pocket. Looking forward the the arrival of the LightTuck that I ordered for my M&P Shield.
I will get the only downside out of the way first: The pistol will print some. If someone is looking to see if you are carrying, they will probably see it. I'm not sure if this is avoidable without a cover flap, however, which would completely change the nature of this holster. Now to the great: I was concerned that the Kydex would fit too tightly to my pistol. It does not, the fit is absolutely perfect for pocket carry. The material is perfectly molded to the pistol, yet the only resistance to release is slight friction. The thumb break is fantastic. The edges of the holster are so well finished that I don't feel the edge of the thumb break against my thigh, even in relatively tight jeans, and the break really makes drawing much cleaner. Overall, I am very impressed. To top it all off, it is very reasonably priced for a quality holster.
This is the 3rd gun that I have bought a Pocket Locker in order to carry. The fit and functional option of the holster for my G43 is outstanding. A pocket size 9mm is incredible in the first place, but to have such a useful holster to properly and safely carry it makes it perfect. You don't have to carry a runaway gun any more. Thanks Vedder Holsters for a great product.
My third Vedder holster (three different guns). Just as good as the first two. Retains firearm sufficiently while in pocket yet releases easily when drawn. Thumb tab makes for easy draw without drawing the holster also. Fully covers trigger guard without interfering with grip. Works in both jeans and cargo pant pockets. Received three business days after placing order.
Received the Pocket Locker with thumb tab today. Fits my 42 perfectly. Great retention.
Received my pocket holster recently. The quality of the holster is very good and locks in with a snap. The only fault I have is the XDs is not locked in snugly; comes out of the holster too easily.
Just like the lite tuck before it, I find the pocket locker to fit my pistol ( Kimber micro) very well and is of the highest quality. I don't know how you can ask for anything more. Delivery time on both products was very timely, and the color ( coyote brown) complements the wood grips very well.
I purchased this for my M&P Shield 9mm with a Crimson Trace green laser. It has good retention, fits very well in my pocket and draws easy. The edges are really smooth with no burs. You can tell that Vedder takes pride in their product. I emailed them with a question on Saturday morning expecting them to get back to me on Monday. They replied that evening. That's good customer service, in my opinion. Those things and the fact that they stand behind their product will make me a return customer.
I bought other brands of pocket holster, This is by far the best I've ever owned. Great fit. No printing. Like all holsters you will need to practice you draw. Pocket carry may not be for everyone.
I've been using a tuck holster for years and I like not having the bulk on my hip for a change. The holster is light and quality made. It takes a little while to get your draw down so the holster doesn't come out with the gun, but after you build up the muscle memory, it becomes second nature.
Excellent quality and perfect fit. excellent retention of pistol. Holster stays put in pocket, when drawing pistol just apply light pressure downward so hook grabs pocket edge. This is just what I have been searching for, 5 STARS. GREAT JOB VEDDER. I am so impressed that I will be purchasing other models for my larger pistols. THANKS AGAIN
Regretfully, I must report that the Pocket Locker absolutely refused to "lock" in my pocket, any pocket, not one. My LCP was a perfect fit in the molded Kydex, but during numerous attempts to un-holster using all conceivable angles, the Locker never offered any resistance to leaving my pocket. This is the only disappointment I've had with any of my Vedder's products. **VH COMMENT** John, Thank you for your continued business and for your feedback on your product. We do strive to offer only the best products available and we do have many customers that like the way the Pocket Locker works with their gun and clothing. Unfortunately the Pocket Locker draw does have some dependency on the combination of style of clothing, body shape, and gun model that you carry. Not all holsters are compatible with all people and we certainly understand that, which is the biggest reason we offer our 30 day money back guarantee. I see in our records that you are utilizing this option with your Pocket Locker and we will gladly issue you a refund for your holster as we certainly do not want you to be stuck with a product that does not work for you. Best regards, Mike Vedder Holsters, LLC
Holster fits my Glock 42 perfectly, and safely surrounds the trigger guard to prevent accidental discharge. You can't beat Vedder for quality and price.
Ordered a Glock 42 pocket holster for southpaw & thumb release (just ask for it during checkout). First off; very happy that lefties are accomodated for. Build quality, molding & retention were all amazing. I appreciate how the slide is fully covered on the sides; which eliminates any worry about scratching the gun if I happen to throw my keys in the same pocket. The thumb release was effective at partial holster release; but made the draw process less standardized & was the only portion uncomfortable after prolonged use. In the end, I desuced that wanted another holster with a draw clip about 1/2" longer than the default size. The default length appeared to be a out 1/4" shorter than the bottom of the G42 mag; but provided a smaller overall pocket imprint. I asked customer service is they would be willing to accomodate the 1/2" extension (for definite catch around pinky finger as I draw EVERY time) & they gladly offered to build a new one for me. Wish I could give 6 stars for customer seevice alone. I will definitely order future holster here & recommend to all contacts.
I gave it 2 because I only tested it with two pairs of pants, but 90% of the time I drew the weapon the holster came with it. Maybe it's user error or a bad pocket/holster combination, but if it can't stay in the pocket it's essentially useless.
I received my new pocket locker from Vedder today and I love it. Fit and retention are awesome. I received it within one week of ordering and the people at Vedder are really nice to deal with. In my opinion one of the best, if not the best, kydex pocket holsters out there.
I have tried many pocket holsters for my Smith and Wesson body guard 380, and this is the best. Fits into all front pockets even tight jeans.
I have been using the Vedder Pocket Locker holster for about 6 months now and it is outstanding! I carry my Kal-Tec P3AT daily and there is no printing. The holster has excellent retention so the pistol doesn’t fall out in my pocket. When drawn the hook catches the pocket and the pistol comes out cleanly every time (use a draw to the rear). When you order ask for the thumb release lip option. They bend a little of the Kydex just where the thumb touches the holster, this allows you to push the holster off while it is still in the pocket, if time permits. I have tried other “soft sided, sticky” pocket holsters and they don’t hold the pistol upright in my pocket; they also don’t always release as you drawl. If you are looking for a new pocket carry, considering trying pocket carry, or have tried the “sticky” holsters and don’t like them either; this is the holster for you. It has great retention, protects the trigger, stands upright, and releases smoothly, what more could you want from a holster?
I like how slim the holster is. It works well for what I use it for. I should have had them cut the holster down a bit which was an option to make the holster fit better in my front pocket. Other then that I love it and I will use it daily
This holster design from Vedder Holsters pays attention to the handgun for which it was designed. My pocket holster was built for a S&W 380 semi-automatic pistol which features a built in laser with an activation button in front and slightly above the trigger guard. By including a channel along the plane of the activation button, this kydex holster does not accidentally turn on the laser while returning the pistol to the holster which would kill the laser battery rendering it inoperative when needed. Additionally, the holster was carefully constructed to allow space for the slide release and the safety buttons. The holster catches the inside of the pocket with the right amount of resistance to allow extraction of the pistol without pulling the holster out of the pocket. It also hides the print of the pistol.
I never really considered my M&P Shield for pocket carry until I saw the Pocket Locker. I ordered the holster out of curiosity. The order was quickly filled. I put my Shield with laser into the holster and to my surprise, it disappeared into my jeans front pocket. Even with the extended mag! The hook works just like it's supposed to when the gun is pulled out. I'm really pleased and it's nice to have another carry option. I would highly recommend this product!
The pocket locker holster I ordered for my Kimber Solo was delivered quickly and was exactly as advertised. The build and quality seems great, and Vedder added a custom thumb break as requested for no additional charge. The fully enclosed barrel end of the holster keeps debris out of the barrel, but the holster is still small and thin enough to fit nicely in my front pocket. Great holster and great company. I recommend Vedder and will likely be a repeat customer.
I bought this holster fo a Sig Sauer P290 and it works well. I prefer it over the Desantis Nemesis as it carries better. Good quality and in a pocket on a hot day it will protect the firearm better. The shipping was quick and ni hassle. I will buy from this company again.
When the weather gets cooler in South Carolina, I take putting on a jacket as the opportunity to switch from IWB carry to pocket carry. Formerly, the DeSantis Nemesis was my holster of choice. When I got the new Glock 42 (Great Gun!), I decided to give the Pocket Locker a try. Great decision! Unlike the soft sided pocket holsters, the PL can be relied upon to remain in a vertical position. Obviously, this ensures that my Glock is accessible. It also ensures that the gun remains in the most comfortable and concealed position in my pocket. Finally, I love the way that the full Kydex construction protects the entire weapon. The fact that arrived at my home within 5 days of placing the order, rather than the 8 Weeks-to-Never delivery time offered by other makers of custom holders, was a real plus. In brief, I would highly recommend this holster for those who prefer the convenience of pocket carry and who want their new holster NOW!
I guess my title could be the review... Got my holster for my Glock 42 the other day. I asked for a thumb break and stated that I'm a lefty. My holster arrived quickly with the thumb break on the appropriate (right) side, and I was eager to try it out. It was a bit tight at first but after about an hours worth of practice (with an unloaded gun) it really started to smooth out. I have never used a pocket holster, so I had to figure things out. I am a Front Sight distinguished grad so I applied much of what I learned there to this holster- presenting the weapon, holstering, etc. Being safe. Not muzzling my holstering hand. This took some thinking as you really need to change the gun to your support hand to holster it, then return the gun to your firing hand to return it to your pocket. I highly recommend this holster. It is well built and works well. Take the time to practice with it. Be safe.
I have no idea how big or small this company is, but I can say the following with confidence and knowledge: This company's products, of which I have 5, are the most superb Kydex I have found - anywhere. As you all know, finding the correct holstering solution for carrying your firearm is at least as important as choosing your ammunition. The trimming, custom thumb-break, sizing, seaming process, riveting, etc. from Vedder Holsters can't be beat. I have no axe to grind here, I don't even know these guys. But I know this - I've bought dozens and dozens of holsters. Most of them sit in drawers unused. I've never been unhappy with the 5 I've purchased from Vedder. I would say it's safe to say that I have one on me at all times, unless I'm in a location where it's illegal to carry. KEEP IT UP!!! A+A+A+A+A+.
Easy to use very concealable will buy another for my other guns!!!!
Anout two months ago I purchased a Glock 42 (.380), and needed a holster for concealed carry. I've been a cop for almost 27 years, and when I'm off duty, I prefer to carry my pistol in my pocket. I also purchased a S&W Bodyguard .380 about a year ago and shortly thereafter, I purchased a "Sticky Holster" for it, so that I could carry it in my pocket. The holster was exactly what the name implied....sticky! My pistol would "stick" inside the holster every time I would try and draw it. Not only did the holster and all come out of my pocket, but the front sight would catch on the top seam of the holster, and I would have to put duct tape over it to keep my rear sights from snagging. One night while researching the web, I ran across "Vedder Holsters". They claimed that their holsters were made individually in their store, and molded perfectly for each weapon. After reading a few of the reviews, and researching the fact that they made a pocket holster (called the "Pocket Locker") for both of my pistols, I decided to send an email to them inquiring about whether the "Pocket Locker" would work appropriately with Cargo shorts, and a couple other concerns I had. The next morning, I received a response from Mike Vedder telling me that he thought the holster wold work fine, and that they also had a new design that would add a slight curve to the holster, thus making it more comfortable against my leg. He also told me that they could include a thumb break for no extra charge. (The thumb break is simply a slight beveled curve at the top of the holster that allows you to push downward with your thumb when drawing the pistol "up", and out of the holster. I also told Mike that I had installed TruGlo TFO (Trijicon) Fiber Optics Sights on both the front and the rear of the Glock 42, and I was concerned about the sights not fitting within the holster. (I had previously purchased a De Santis pocket holster called "The Nemesis"), and the pistol was very tight, and stuck up almost one inch from the top and the end of the barrel was over a half inch from the end of the holster. I sent them a letter to ask if this was normal, and was told "yes, sticking up like that keeps the sight from catching on the top of the seam. (that sounded familiar), and allows you to draw the gun. Well, when I asked Mike about whether or not they had the ability to make the holster with a "sight channel" to help accommodate my Fiber Optic Sights, he said, "definately"! He instructed me to include any special instructions in the comment box when purchasing the holster. My holsters were completed in a couple of days, and I received them in the mail two days later. I received an email with tracking info, contact numbers, and any other information I might need in case I had any questions or concerns. Needless to say, the holsters fit like a glove....literally! I love the fact that the holster is sealed at the bottom, thus covering the end of the barrel to keep lint, and other pocket debris out of my pistol. The pistol also drops in with minimal effort, and locks in place with a significant "click"... Now, if I hold my Glock 42 upside down and shake the holster, the gun will come sliding out (which is exactly what I want). They holster has a hook on the bottom of the holster that is made to catch the hem inside my pants when I draw the weapon. I love the fact that the gun fits tight enough that it's not going to just fall out while I'm sitting down, but DEFINATELY will come out easy enough should I have to draw it. I think if your looking for a holster that works, is comfortable, made perfectly for your make and model of gun, then you can't go wrong. Plus the fact, that if you're not satisfied, they will give you a refund within 30 days. A friend of mine purchased a IWB (Inside Waist Band) holster from Vedder for his Glock 42, and says its the most comfortable holster he's ever worn... The customer service is awesome, and so are the holsters!
Sturdy, great fit and finish. Best I've found for my Sig p238...
Awesome pocket holster. Received in 2 days.. Did a little modification of bending a thumb release for easy out of pocket to suit my preference and curved the bottom hook a little.
Bought for my Sig P938. Exchange of emails with Mike Vedder about a modification I wanted and one that he suggested. Emails were answered within hours. Ordered on Thursday and received nonstandard holster the following Tuesday. Fantastic customer service! Holster is as requested and now housing my pistol. Good retention without being overly tight which could be problem for pocket draw. Thumb ledge I requested was perfect and makes for easier withdrawal of the pistol from the holster. This is my second holster from them and both are in use.
Order this along with a RapidTuck for my Glock 42. It works great in my shorts pockets for carrying this summer. Excellent quality for a reasonable price. Very quick shipping. Liked Vedder's quality so much I ordered a ComfortTuck Mini for my Shield and a QuickDraw OWB for my Glock 23. Can't wait to get them in.
Just received my pocket locker for my glock 42. Absolutely love it. It conceals the pistols profile wonderfully, is easy to draw from the pocket, protects the pistol from lint and pocket debris very well.one con and it's a very small one. I wish there was just a tiny bit more tension on the pistol. I understand that it can't be tight because of the draw technique, but just a little more tension would be wonderful.
I have a drawer full of other manufacturers' holsters I tried before finding the Vedders. Their attention to detail, material, and willingness to add custom features makes them the best kydex holsters in the business, in my humble opinion
Perfect for my Glock 42. Ease of use and no printing.
