Smith & Wesson Releases New M&P9 M2.0 Metal
Another exciting Smith & Wesson update we got at SHOT Show 2026 was the new and improved addition to the M&P M2.0 line: the M&P9 M2.0 Metal.
This full-sized 9mm features the same performance we’ve come to expect from Smith & Wesson’s M&P series, now with a durable yet lightweight stainless steel frame for an elevated shooting experience.
Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Metal Features

The M&P9 M2.0 Metal comes with a threaded barrel, a Picatinny-style accessory rail, an optics-ready slide, and four interchangeable palmswell grip inserts. It has a low barrel bore axis for reduced recoil and faster follow-up shots, as well as an 18-degree grip angle for a more natural aim.
It has a nice, wide slide stop, a reversible magazine release, and a flat-faced trigger designed to aid in accuracy. This pistol also features front and rear slide serrations and an aggressive polymer grip texture for easy maneuvering. Designed with the M&P’s take-down lever and sear deactivation system, the M2.0 Metal is easy to disassemble without needing to pull the trigger.
