Smith & Wesson Unveils New M&P Metal Compact Pistol at SHOT Show 2026
SHOT Show 2026 was, of course, packed to the brim with new product releases from all of our favorite brands. One of the most impressive being Smith & Wesson’s new Spec Series VI M&P9 M2.0 Metal Compact pistol.
This compact 9mm packs a lot of features right out of the box, like an included direct mount Aimpoint ACRO P-2 red dot reflex sight, a Floyds Custom Shop EDC magwell for a higher grip and improved control, and an in-line ported barrel that redistributes gases for reduced recoil.

The Specs Series VI is built with an aluminum frame, a stainless steel barrel, and a champagne-colored Cerakote finish. It has an aggressive grip texture and front and rear slide serrations for easy maneuvering, as well as four interchangeable palmswell grip inserts to fit various hand sizes.
Although it doesn’t come with a manual thumb safety, its flat-faced trigger does have one. It also comes standard with three 15-round magazines, each of which also has a Floyds Custom Shop EDC baseplate.
